Attention K-6 parents:
Students attending the afterschool program that receive transportation services will need to be picked up before 5:30 for the remainder of the week due to the bus being in the shop for the rest of the week. This begins 4/26/22.

NECC Announcement: Starting Monday, April 25, Mr. Jay will pick up Mr. Keo's in-town bus route and Ms. Margie will pick up Randolph Crossroad route students until the mini-bus is repaired.

Special Announcement from Superintendent Lowe:
The Junction City Board of Directors appointed Melanie Daniels as District General Bookkeeper and Treasurer to replace Gail Sehon who is retiring after 43 dedicated years of service to the Junction City School District. Mrs. Sehon, you are loved and will be truly missed!


Announcement from Superintendent Lowe:
The Junction City Board of Directors unanimously approved Kendall Hutcheson as high school principal at its regular monthly board meeting on April 12. Hutcheson recently completed a masters plus 30 in Educational Leadership from Arkansas State. Hutcheson assumes the high school leadership role on July 1. He replaces Joy Mason who was named the district’s superintendent in March. Hutcheson joined the Junction City staff in 2009 as a teacher and head basketball coach and assistant football coach. He has also served as athletic director since August 2020.
The Board also approved Jordan Weldon as the elementary counselor.
The Board accepted resignations and hired Alyssa Anderson, Rachael Pepper, and LaKenya Taylor. Anderson was hired for elementary education, Pepper was hired as a secondary upper level math teacher, and Taylor was hired as high music teacher and band director.
