PARENTS: PLEASE READ! ACT ASPIRE IMPORTANT MESSAGE!
Chances are you have received your child's ACT Aspire report. Please take a few minutes to look over how your child performed. Please be sure to examine the back of the report. You will find details which explain why they were scored as exceeding, ready, close, or in need of support in each area. These are the scores which contribute heavily to our district's school score. These scores are also a good indicator of how well your child will perform on the ACT. Just a reminder that the ACT score is the determinant for academic and athletic scholarships. Your student can have a 3.96 and not be eligible for a scholarship because of their ACT scores not meeting the academic institution or organization's criteria.
Here are a few facts about the ACT Aspire:
•Vertically articulated, standards-based system of summative assessments
•Aligned to ACT College Readiness Benchmarks and Common Core State Standards
•Anchored by the capstone college readiness assessment, the ACT
•Multiple question types: constructed response, selected response, and technology-enhanced
•Subject areas: English, math, reading, science, and writing for grades 3–7
•Accurately predicts students’ future scores on the ACT

COVID UPDATE:
Parents, please contact our School Nurse Michelle Doolin first thing Monday morning if your child is symptomatic or has been exposed to COVID. Nurse Doolin’s contact info is accessible on our website or app staff page.
The governor’s office has made N95 masks available to students. Students may request one, or a parent may request one for their student, from either building office.
