Grades 9-12 Parents, the following is a major grade for your child. Please make sure he/she is READING and READY! A Book Talk is a quick, 3-5 minute, chat about a student's independent book. The teacher will ask the student what they liked and didn't like about his or her book. The teacher will then read 2-3 passages from the book and ask the student about the context of those passages. If the student is able to tell the teacher what is going on, he or she will earn the pages read. Each grade level has a certain number of pages that they must read by the end of the quarter. Book Talks are the way to "log/record" those pages. The last day to have a book talk with Mrs. Raines or Mrs. Green is Thursday 10/14.

Grades 7-12 FBLA REMINDER: Permission slips for FBLA conference and state fair as well as FBLA fees are due tomorrow, Wednesday, October 6. If you don't turn it in by this date, you won't be able to go on the trips. ~Mrs. Carelock
