Due to hazardous road conditions, icy sidewalks, and freezing temperatures expected on Saturday, the junior high dance has been postponed to ensure the safety of all students, families, and staff.
A new date will be announced soon. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as safety is our top priority.

We’re still celebrating 100 amazing days of learning — just on a new date!
Our school celebration has been moved to Friday, February 6 so that everyone has the opportunity to join in the fun.
We can’t wait to see everyone dressed up like they’re 100 years old!

Due to poor road conditions and potentially hazardous areas, the Junction City School District will remain closed Thursday, January 29, 2026.
We are continuing to monitor the roads and school campus. We hope to open school Friday with a possible delayed start. Updates will be posted by 3:00 tomorrow, Thursday, January 29.

The junior high FBLA spring conference originally scheduled for Wednesday, 1/28/26 has been rescheduled to Thursday, 2/5/26.

JCES Sweetheart Court Date + Time Change!
Junction City Elementary School will present our Sweetheart Court on Friday, February 27th at 1:00 PM in the MPR.
No admission charge — everyone is welcome to attend!
We can’t wait to celebrate our students!

School will dismiss early and there will be no 21st Century After-School Program on Thursday, January 15. Elementary will dismiss at 2:15pm and buses will roll from high school by 2:30pm. No school for students on Friday (Jan. 16) for a Teacher Professional Development Day. School will also be out on Monday (Jan. 19) in observance of MLK Day.
Parents of JCHS-NECC students in grades 9th, 10th, and 12th! If you would like for your child to take the ACT on our campus for $52.75, please contact Mrs. Owens by 3:00 p.m. on Friday, January 16th. Today is the last day to turn in forms for students to be eligible to receive votes in the JCES Sweetheart Pageant. Voting will take place tomorrow, January 9th.

Northeast Claiborne Charter is now accepting applications for the 2026–2027 school year. The recruitment period runs from February 2 through March 2. We look forward to welcoming new students and families to NECC!
