Good afternoon. Due to continued impassable roads, the buses that were able to pick up students this morning will drop the students off in the same places. We will send out a message later this evening about the morning routes.

The Junction City School District will have school Monday, February 2, 2026 on time. Buses will run in a limited capacity and may run late in the morning. We know we will not run buses on East/West Stateline, Caledonia/South Caledonia, Hall Pratt Loop, Tram Road, and anything behind Jolley’s Grocery. Fred’s NECC route will pick up at DG, 2nd Street, and Gray Street in Bernice, Louisiana.  Please contact the school if we can help you at 870-315-2670.

The basketball games scheduled for tomorrow night have been postponed. They have been rescheduled for Saturday, February 7.

In order to keep our students and staff safe, the Junction City School District will be closed on Friday, January 30, 2026. We have monitored main roads and back roads and still have too many hazardous areas. Please know we take many factors into this decision with safety of all as our number one priority. ❄️ Winter Formal Postponed ❄️ Due to hazardous road conditions, icy sidewalks, and freezing temperatures expected on Saturday, the junior high dance has been postponed to ensure the safety of all students, families, and staff. A new date will be announced soon. We appreciate your understanding and cooperation as safety is our top priority. Please stay safe, and thank you for your flexibility.

🎉 100 Days of School Celebration Update! 🎉 We’re still celebrating 100 amazing days of learning — just on a new date! Our school celebration has been moved to Friday, February 6 so that everyone has the opportunity to join in the fun. We can’t wait to see everyone dressed up like they’re 100 years old!

Due to poor road conditions and potentially hazardous areas, the Junction City School District will remain closed Thursday, January 29, 2026. We are continuing to monitor the roads and school campus. With an abundance of caution for the hazardous road conditions, the Junction City School District will be closed on Wednesday, January 28, 2026. The junior high FBLA spring conference originally scheduled for Wednesday, 1/28/26 has been rescheduled to Thursday, 2/5/26.

The junior high dance originally scheduled for this Saturday has been rescheduled to next Saturday, January 31. Thank you for your understanding, and we look forward to a great night!

School will dismiss early and there will be no 21st Century After-School Program on Thursday, January 15. Elementary will dismiss at 2:15pm and buses will roll from high school by 2:30pm. No school for students on Friday (Jan. 16) for a Teacher Professional Development Day. School will also be out on Monday (Jan. 19) in observance of MLK Day.
